Do's and Don'ts for a Healthy Body
Published: 2007-02-01According to many nutritionists, there are a series of recommendations that we should keep in mind for our daily foods in order to enjoy a good health and avoid accumulating weight.
The following are the 10 golden rules:
1 - Keep a varied diet, do not skip foods and eat in company. Keep in mind that the lightest dinner is the fruit, and the best remedy to fight the hunger is dry fruit.
2 - Chew and use a good amount of saliva on your food, since this facilitates your digestion.
3 - Consume the right number of calories. Remember that the energy giving needs decrease throughout the years.
4 - Choose sugars wisely. Use more carbohydrates of slow ingestion such as potatoes and vegetable, and decrease the quick absorption (pies and cakes).
5 - Use veggie oils on a daily basis, especially olive oil. Increase the consumption of unsaturated fats coming from blue fish (sardines, salmon) and decrease the consumption of saturated fats originated from animals and the ones used in cake shops (coconut and palm oil).
6 - Always eat your meat dishes with salads. It is a way of adding vitamin C to foods with high contents of protein.
7 - Always use lemon for your seasoning. It is an extraordinary diet balance.
8 - Drink less alcohol and more water, even if you are not thirsty. Eat your breakfast with a fruit juice.
9 - Ingest more fiber. A poor diet in fiber is anti-natural. You can find the fiber exclusively in products such as integral rice, green soy, almonds, dry pear, all kind of vegetables and spinaches. The nutritionists recommend the consumption of at least 20 grams on a daily basis.
10 - Exercise yourself: It will help you burn the extra calories that you have accumulated.
